Since its inception in 2009, First Fortnight’s key aim has been to challenge mental health stigma and prejudice through the creative arts. A charity-based organisation, First Fortnight is run entirely by seven volunteers.
‘We believe the arts allow us to create a space where people can talk about mental health issues in a very non-scripted manner and help to change people’s perceptions about an issue that effects us all.

Here the prolific ADW brings us his latest time-lapse video; ‘There Is No Justice, There’s Just Us’. ADW recently spoke to Redmonk of Rabble.ie about his altercations with the Gardaí, when trying to paint the same stenciled piece, at the ‘Kings of Concrete‘ event in Dublin‘s Grand Canal Dock. Rabble is a non-profit, newspaper from Dublin city’s underground. It’s collectively and independently run by volunteers. Well worth a read. For more from ADW visit adwart.com

A successful ADW Exhibition 28 April 2010
Posted by Irish Street Art in Street Art Events.Tags: ADW, Donna Kiernan, Dublin, Emma Casey, La Catedral Studios, The Back Loft, Video
add a comment
By all accounts ‘Stensual‘ the ADW exhibition that took place in The Back Loft, Dublin was a complete success. Here are a few photos of the opening night taken by Emma Casey.
According to Donna Kiernan from La Catedral Studios ‘The exhibition was a huge success especially considering it was his first solo show. There were loads of people there for the opening on Thursday (15th)and a lot of interest from the press. ADW got reviews all over the place – MetroHerald, Irish Independent and The Daily Mail. He ended up selling about half of the work on the night.’
‘The work was classically slick, smart and hilarious. My personal favourites were “Don’t Pass Go” with the monopoly man being dragged away by the gardai and Mary Harney ala Charlotte’s Web dreaming about Colonel Sanders which is stencil directly on our wall and we now get to keep here forever.’
